Office Manager Position Available 


Gold LEAF Institute Senior College at the University of Maine Farmington (UMF)
is accepting applications ​for the Office Manager position. 
This is a part-time position involving up to 500 hours per year.  
​(The current number of hours are less in light of the current pandemic.)

The position requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. Candidates
need to be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and Google Drive.
 
This is an independent contractor/consultant position under contract with the University of Maine System.
The Office Manager has day-to-day responsibilities running all aspects of the Gold LEAF office
​as outlined in the Office Manual, supervising up to two part-time student assistants during the school year,
and working with the Executive Board and committees.

Note: Please do not park in the parking lot behind the Education building, you will be ticketed. You can park in Lots, 11, 12 and 15.

Gold LEAF - which is an acronym for Lifelong Education At Farmington - is a member-run organization devoted to lifelong learning in the Franklin County, Maine area, for anyone age 50 or older (and spouse/partner, regardless of age) that offers:​​​
  • Courses that require no educational pre-qualifications;
  • Learning without stress, without tests or credits;
  • Intellectually stimulating classes and activities reflecting the interests of its members;
  • Socializing with people with a similar interest in enhancing their knowledge of the world around them;
  • Affiliation with Road Scholar (formerly called Elderhostel);
  • Affiliation with the University of Maine at Farmington, allowing access to UMF's faculty and facilities.
 ​
