Provides – a warm place to socialize and share a meal during the winter months. Also provides: hot coffee, tea, homemade soups, baked goods and fruit, free of charge. Donations accepted.

Our services include nutrition, education, counseling, and homecare coordination. Our mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities. Legal Services for the Elderly (LSE)
Free legal help for Maine's residents age 60 and older is available from Legal Services for the Elderly (LSE). Call the helpline 1-800-750-5353.
LSE is a non-profit supported by grants from the U.S. Administration on Aging, State of Maine, Maine's Agencies on Aging, the United Way, the Maine Bar Foundation and donations from private attorneys, clients and others. Since 1974, LSE has helped thousands of Maine seniors with issues like these:

Maine Senior Guide is an on-line resource for Maine seniors. The people who work on the site gladly accept information, corrections, etc., so feel free to contact them. Gold LEAF sent them some information about the Maine Senior College Network, and they quickly incorporated it into the site.
Maine Senior College Network Learning for the fun of it with Maine's Senior Colleges! There are no tests, no papers, and no grades. Each senior college plans exciting, intellectually stimulating non-credit courses (taught by volunteers) as well as providing a range of exciting learning opportunities for adults over the age of 50. Follow the links to your nearest college; their website will provide more detailed information as well as their most current listing of available classes.
National Resource Center The National Resource Center for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes plays a lead role in disseminating information on effective educational programming for older learners. In addition to providing information and connections via a web site, the Resource Center publishes a national research journal, plans an annual national conference, and provides a number of other ways for OLLIs and the Maine Senior College Network to connect with one another.
Maine Association of Retirees (MAR) The Maine Association of Retirees (MAR) exists to protect and expand the rights and benefits of Maine retired teachers, state/county/municipal government employees, and to support a fiscally sound retirement system. MAR has 15,000+ members. One of the benefits MAR offers to its members is reimbursement of senior college costs (up to $15/year) for active participation.
2-1-1 Maine Resource Directory: Get Connected. Get Answers The 2-1-1 Maine Resource Directory includes agency, program and service information as well intake procedures, eligibility requirements, hours of operation, web addresses and other vital information.
